Top Beaches in Algarve and Hotels Nearby

Cacela Velha Beach

On the east side of the Algarve, between Tavira and Vila Real de Santo António, you’ll find Cacela Velha Beach. If you have never heard of this wonderful beach you should visit it on your next visit to Portugal. You can get to the beach by boat, it costs 1.5 € per person each way, or by foot only on low tide (a very funny experience). The  water is incredibly warm! For us the best beach in the Algarve, if you would like to stay nearby we would recommend Robinson Club Quinta da Ria .

Marinha Beach

Located between Carvoeiro and Senhora da Rocha ( Porches ), the Marinha Beach has one of the most wonderful natural landscapes in Portugal. Know for it’s clean water and natural cliffs, it’s the ideal place for scuba diving, don’t miss this place.

Benagil’s Algar

In third place Benagil Beach, we choose this place not for the beach itself, but because the caves nearby. You can visit the caves next to the beach, images from the cave are known worldwide. Armona Island

In front of Olhão you can find one of the most amazing and remote locations in Algarve, Armona Island. Dona Ana Beach

For many years Dona Ana beach in Lagos was known as the best beach in the Algarve, and one of the best in the world ( won several awards ). However in recent months this beach undergone a complete refurbishment due to the danger of falling cliffs, however we believe it is still one of the top 10 beaches Algarve. We think this image speaks for itself.
